What makes your soap different from others?

Everything we put into our Soap, Bath and Skin Care products, has a reason and a purpose. We use the highest quality ingredients that will actually produce benefits. If there's no benefit, there's no use for it. We "superfatt" all of our soap, which means we add loads of extra oils, creams, butters, etc. to the soap just before it gets poured out into the molds to cure. This gives the soap added richness and creaminess, so the soap won't be drying.  Our soaps are a delight to the eye, nose, and skin!  Have a look and we're sure you will agree.

What is the shelf life on your products?

After one year you may see a reduction in colour potency and diminished scent. Many essential oils act as natural preservatives. If you keep your products out of direct sunlight, high heat, low moisture areas, your soaps and bath and skin products will last a long time. Do keep in mind that TRULY NATURAL products are not loaded with chemical preservatives, and the idea is to use your natural products when you buy them.

Where is your soap made?

"O'Canada, the true North, Strong and ...Clean"

We produce all of our products in Canmore, Alberta - inspired by the Rockies.

Our line of soaps, bath and skin care products have been created and handmade by our founder Lee Ann. Everything is produced with a carefully selected list of the highest quality ingredients, without the use of synthetic and harmful additives.

As an Honours graduate (1985) of Skin Care at the School of Cosmetology, Lee Ann became an Aesthetician, and has spent the last 30 years working with the skin, both in the healthy maintenance and repair of it. This interest in skin care led to making an exclusive line of creamy, gentle Soaps, Bath and Body products. Lee Ann's skills led her abroad, working as Director at many exclusive Spas. In the West Indies and the Caribbean, the native islanders showed the value of tree butters (mango, kokum and shea, to name only a few!) in skin care, which are very much a part of her formulations today.

Lee Ann's goal was to make a quality soap, that Aestheticians would use. Dispelling the "evils" of soap, Lee Ann reinvented and reintroduced a product with essential oils, herbs and tree butters, all of therapeutic value, and synergistic in nature.

The original "O'Canada" Line has expanded from 16 different soaps and complimentary bath products, to approximately 70 different soaps, almost 40 different Bath choices and many skin care products. Lee Ann is ever creating and expanding to address your needs.

By combining her extensive knowledge, experience and love of Canada, O'Canada Soapworks is the vehicle in which Canadians and visitors learn about our great land, Canada.
